BerryMelon Slush
For a hot sunny day, a slushy with watermelon and strawberry will tone down the heat. With such a simple and straightforward recipe, you’ll be sipping on this fruity concoction in no time.
Ingredients
- ⅓ cup of lemon juice
- ⅓ cup of sugar
- 2 cups of seedless watermelon (cut into cubes)
- 2 cups of fresh strawberries
- 1 cup of ice
- Soft drink (optional)
How to make it?
Put all the ingredients in the blender and mix them until you get a smooth texture. Pour the mixture into glasses. You can add any fizzy drink to enhance the taste. This recipe serves 12 guests.
Mint Margarita
For a quick refreshing fix, this recipe is a lifesaver. This light summer pool drink will make your day – no alcohol needed!
Ingredients
- A handful of mint or as required
- ⅓ cup of lemon juice
- ⅔ cup of sugar
- ⅓ cup of ice cubes
- Water as required
How to make it?
Put all the ingredients in a jug and blend until you do not see any raw mint. The mint should be blended completely. Before serving, cover the edges of the glass with caster sugar and put a slice of lemon on top. This recipe serves about 10 guests.
Raspberry Quencher
This all-time favourite poolside drink recipe will pack a punch with it’s bold flavour. An office favourite, the Raspberry Quencher is a certified classic.
Ingredients
- 8 cups fresh raspberries
- 1-½ cups sugar
- ⅔ cup cider vinegar
- 2-½ cups cold water
- 2 litres ginger ale (chilled)
How to make it?
Put the crushed raspberries in a large saucepan. Stir the berries in sugar, vinegar, and ½ cup water. Reduce heat once it reaches the boiling point. Let it simmer for 20 minutes, and do not cover the saucepan. Remove seeds and refrigerate. Before serving, add ginger ale and remaining water. This recipe serves 14 guests.
